Week 1: I'm a NaNoWriHo

That title’s not politically correct but I’m listening to a lot of rap today, so deal with it.

Ooooo, someone figured out how to embed media - hollerrrrrr.

Week 1

Thursday, Nov. 1: 918 words. Not a great start. My goal is 2,000 per day so if I need to skip a day here or there, I’m still on track. Didn’t feel that bad about it, so definitely growing as a person.

Friday, Nov. 2: Smashed my goal to reach 2,900 words total. Got 3,131. Boom, she back, bitchez.

Saturday, Nov. 3: Wanted to write 4,000 words to get me over 7,000 for my total. I’d also booked two friend dates starting from 2:30, so I did the best I could and said if I felt like writing when I got home, I’d do that (I didn’t). But getting at least my 2,000 daily goal would be enough. Hit a 5,440 total, so crushed the daily 2K but didn’t get my 4,000 weekend goal due to my social schedule.

Sunday, Nov. 4: Decided to write a couple blog posts about NaNoWriMo, and attempted a 4,000 word goal for today… and hit 4304. Call me butter, because I’m on a roll. Mic drop.

Monday, Nov. 5: Only got 694 words in the morning. Work kicked my brain’s ass, so I opted out of an evening session. But that’s why I forced myself to do double yesterday - to have the option of giving myself breaks when I need them. #selfcare #knowthyself

Tuesday, Nov. 6: Election Day! 2,180 words written (700-ish in the morning and the rest after work)! Wasn’t sure I’d get to 2,000 today, so this is a sweet lil victory.

Wednesday, Nov. 7: Can’t believe my progress in this first week. I know that will power down the further I get in the month, so trying to ride this wave as long as possible.

Phew. Week 1, done.

Week 2: NaNoWri... No Mo Steam But Then A Lot Mo Steam

I'm doing NaNoWriMo (properly) for the first time
